The Location

Verginate is an ancient and charming small hamlet located on the West cost of the Lake of Como. It was founded at the beginning of the 19th century and most of the former residents were devoted to agriculture, grapes and wine productions. The village did not grow larger and, after beeing negleted for some years, now lives a second life thanks to the owners restoring their buildings. In 2008 we completely rebuilt our house, Borgo Verginate, that has become an ideal place to spend relaxing moments and unforgettable holidays. We inform that there is a steep mountain road, five bends, leading to the village starting from the meeting point and 80 mt are not asphalted.

That Branch of the Lake of Como…

The Lake of Como is a beautiful natural environment and a paradise for open air and water sport funs. Art and History lovers will be fascinated by the hidden jems like the Roman Abbey of Piona or the international renowned ancient villages of Bellagio and Varenna.  Enjoy the typical dishes, “polenta and missoltini”, the “rice and persico fish” or the local cheese “taleggio” and “quartirolo” produced in the Valsassina Valley, so close to the town of Bellano.
